The Intercontinental Hotel today is one of the most sought after hotels in the world. Launched in 1946 as International, it changed its name to what it is today one year after, in 1947. The first hotel in this chain was the Hotel Belem Intercontinental in Brazil. In 1960 this hotel brand finds itself in the Middle East, becoming the first hotel after Latin America to establish its presence in the Middle East.

Everyone knows that there is strength in numbers. This is the premise behind National Car Rental. National Car Rental started as a collection of independent car rental shops that had figured out the age-old business adage that you can do more good as a group than you ever could on your own. The idea caught on quickly, and soon the idea of National Car Rental had gone from a decent sized group to an enormous group in only a few years. Oregon is famous for the ski slopes found around the state, and if you are planning a ski vacation, you should definitely consider Timberline Lodge, located near Mt. Hood in Oregon. There is quite a bit of history in the area, starting with the lodge that was built during the Great Depression by a master craftsman. The Timberline Lodge also has a bit of more recent history attached to it. Part of the movie, The Shining, was filmed here. Many of the ‘outside’ shots were done at Timberline Lodge.
