WHY NOT CHOSE HERTZ!
I was in Orlando Florida. When the Hertz internet directions were wrong I expected employees and the manager to be accomadating. Instead, I was left trying for 2 hours to reach someone be phone. The local number and address are not on the contract. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told, “I’m closed, I’m going home.” When I explained to the manager that the directions were wrong she said, “they aren’t our directions, why didn’t you use the map you were given on arrival?” Nothing like being feeling accused of a crime! I wasn’t given a map opon arrival. When I told her that I was now going to miss my flight because of all of this she said, “theres nothing I can do about that, here’s $100. off your bill. I was alone with my 8 year old son, we were both very upset. Being talked to in this way is not what anyone would expect in this type of situation. However, When I got to the airport and everyone there was very accomadationg. Even the Mears Shuttle attendant stoped what she was doing to help me find a hotel close by that wasn’t booked. Something the manager at Herz could have offered, but didn’t. I have tried several times in several different ways to contact Hertz, but have not heard back from. I won’t be using or recommending Hertz to anyone.
